The shortlisted entries through to the Leatherhead & District Business Awards 2017 Final are ...

 

The judging of entries in each of the six categories of the Leatherhead & District Business Awards has now concluded and the 2017 finalists have been announced.

 

The Awards celebrate those who are building dynamic local and international businesses, providing a strong contribution to the Mole Valley community, and people who inspire others to achieve their potential.

 

Richard Scrase, Media Advisor at ExxonMobil, Headline Awards Sponsor and Judge of the Contribution to the Community Category said: "The judges were extremely impressed with the range and standard of entries received and being part of the judging panel was both interesting and enjoyable. The Awards provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase local businesses, highlighting the strength, diversity and contribution of our business community and ExxonMobil is proud to be involved".

 

Business Awards Judge Joanne Rogers of Prowse & Co. Ltd added: "We were delighted with the number of entries received this year. The winner and runner-up entry for each of the above six categories will be announced at an Awards Ceremony, which will be held at the Old Chapel at St. John's School, Leatherhead on 4 July 2017.

Representatives from the Leatherhead & District business community gathered to launch this year's Leatherhead & District Business Awards at an event on 28 February at ExxonMobil in Leatherhead. With six categories, the Awards celebrate those who are building dynamic local and international businesses and people who inspire others to achieve their potential.

This year's award partners are ExxonMobil (Headline Sponsor), Mole Valley District Council, the Leatherhead & District Chamber of Commerce, the Leatherhead Advertiser, the Gatwick Diamond Initiative, Prowse & Company Ltd, Platinum Publishing Group, BBC Radio Surrey and Fetcham Park.

  

Open to any individual or business located within Leatherhead, Ashtead, Bookham, Effingham, Mickleham or Fetcham in Surrey, the Awards are free to enter. Organisations and individuals may enter for more than one category or nominate others.

    

Jackie Quinn, President of the Leatherhead & District Chamber of Commerce said: "The Chamber is delighted to support the Leatherhead & District Business Awards again this year. The Awards scheme is a fitting celebration of the talent which abounds in the local business community. Continuing from the success of previous years, we hope to engage even more businesses and look forward to congratulating our next round of deserving winners".

A panel of senior executives from organisations in Leatherhead & District will judge the awards. Finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony at St. John's School, Leatherhead on 4 July where each winner will be presented with a trophy and certificate in front of an audience of 60 guests.
